Workshop: Backpack with Leather Piping - 4 Days

We are very excited to offer this new workshop that has been developed and will be instructed by Amelie Amblard.  In 4 full days + homework you will create a fully hand stitched backpack with piping.  

Prerequisite:  Hand skiving
Student has to have completed the Level 3: Skiving Cube or Hand Skiving 1 - Leather Cuff workshop.  

Dates: Fridays
September 9, September 16, October 7, October 14
Time: 10a - 6p, lunch from 1-2p

Please note, students will need to be able to saddlestitch at home to complete required homework. 

New concepts taught:

• Piping - Handstitched & Finished/Covered
• Exposed Zipper Leather Lined Pocket
• Zipper in Gusset
• Thin Rope Handle Technique
• Measurement and placement of straps.

The following are provided:
Pattern, Instructions, French Grain Leather, and all findings.
All tools are available for use in our studio. 

If desired, please bring your own work apron.
