Workshop: Tuesday Evening - Pattern Making, Minimum Waste Cutting & Saddle Stitching
Learn 1 point of symmetry pattern making, minimum waste cutting and how to saddle stitch with a French stitching clamp in just 2 hours.
All levels welcome. No experience necessary. The perfect start to your leather working adventure.
What you will learn:
- 1 point of symmetry pattern making method can be used to create all symmetrical patterns.
- Minimum waste cutting method is perfect when working with exotic materials as it has the minimum amount of waste allowing you to utilize more of your beautiful hide.
- Saddle stitching is the most stable stitch to use in leatherworking. It is stronger than machine stitching and it gives your work a beautiful polished look.
All materials and tools are provided in class.
If desired, please bring your own work apron.
This workshop meets from 6-8p and can be scheduled during our Tuesday evening class. Please note, this workshop is scheduled upon availability during our regular classes. This is not a private class, you will be attending with our regular scheduled students maximum 8 students.
